Where technology and payments meet

Our portfolio has brought government-service software and payment technology together. Capital Pay formed part of that portfolio, providing a payments component alongside applications and administrative workflows.

The World Bank’s 2022 South Sudan Digital Economy Assessment, released in 2023, identifies CapitalPay as our subsidiary during that period. That shared history brings payment services and government software together within our work in South Sudan.

Different roles in one transaction

An application records what a person needs. A payment reference identifies the amount due and the record it belongs to. The payment channel moves the funds, while reconciliation matches the transaction to the correct service.

Keeping those stages connected helps an institution answer a basic question: has the right payment arrived for this request, and what happens next?

CapitalPay across the region

Recent CapitalPay coverage describes work on institutional payments and trade processes in Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan. The September 2026 Citizen Digital feature explores that regional focus, and Garang Mayom Malek discusses connected cargo and payment records in his interview with TUKO.co.ke.

CapitalPay services operate through country-specific legal entities. The entity and terms named for a particular service establish the customer’s relationship. Company and project enquiries can identify the market and product for a focused response.
