Rotary Central Melbourne scheduled Biong Deng Biong to speak on 28 November 2023 about his work as a Rotary Peace Fellow, including his involvement in digital government services in South Sudan.
Biong was our managing director at the time, working on digital services and access to government information in South Sudan after earlier public service and community roles in Australia.
His earlier roles included work with Australia’s Department of Home Affairs and Edmund Rice Community and Refugee Services, connecting his professional background with public administration and support for refugee communities.
The event introduction also recognised his work as founder of the Society of South Sudanese Professionals and a Melbourne Victory ambassador, alongside his involvement in South Sudan’s digital services.
